How do I change my connection to synch only one field in one direction?

I did not use visual mode at all when I created my connection.  I instead created 2 script files (Incoming and Outgoing) with the fields I wanted to synch.  The trigger is based on a filter of issues on Instance A and if we manually update an issue on Instance B, the same fields update on the connected issue of Instance A.  Now we want all the fields in Instance A to sync to Instance B but if Instance B is updated we do not want to update Instance A except for a new comment.  I see that in Visual mode one can set the direction of the sync field by field.  If I didn't use visual mode, is there a way to do this in the scripts (all fields update one way and only comments in the other).

I would delete all outgoing sync rules in instance B expect of the comments. Remove all lines expect the one that takes care of the comments.
