Note
We've packed up and moved from Confluence to Discourse to bring you a better, more interactive space. Out of courtesy we didn't migrate your user account so - you will have to signup again
The Exalate team will be on holiday for the coming days - returning Jan 4
Enjoy & stay safe
I can see how to use Exalate to sync a Zendesk ticket to Jira, etc. My scenario is slightly different.
We already use the built-in Jira-Zendesk integration to create Jira tickets from Zendesk for escalations. An attribute change or state change in Jira already pushes the right data back to Zendesk.
But when someone adds a comment in Jira, there is no way to push the comment to Zendesk. Doing so is my Exalate use case.
So is there a way to implement this using Exalate:
"When a new comment is added to a Jira ticket, the comment is added as a Zendesk comment if and only if there is a already corresponding ticket already linked"
Any guidance would be appreciated. I can do the work, but I don't know where to start!
