Hi

We have connected SNOW and JiraCloud to sync certain issue types and I understand that out of the box behaviour is that

  • Changes done by somebody in Jira are replicated to SNOW using proxy account which Exalate uses to connect to SNOW
  • Changes done by somebody in SNOW are replicated to Jira using Exalate user

The question I have: is there a way in rules scripts to recognize the change author and and replicate it to the target system?

E.g. assuming our user base is equal in both SNOW and Jira Cloud, and I do a change in Jira issue which is linked with some SNOW ticket to replicate this change and show in SNOW as being done by my user instead of Proxy User (and vice versa)?

Having exalate executing a change on behalf of another user is not possible.
You can add a comment that the changes made on the ServiceNow issue has been done in the context of a Jira rooted change made by a user.

Francis, but how I can get an author for a certain change?
