Sync doesn't recognise name nor field ID for EPIC Link in sync script

Hi,


We're syncing JIRA to JIRA and need to sync the Epic Link field but regardless of whether we're using the field name or the field ID, the sync doesn't sync the info.


We got the list of field names from the API to make sure we're using the correct field naming, but alas no joy.


Has anyone else experienced this and if so what do we need to do to get this field to sync.

      Hi Julie Metior 

      We suggest to use an external script to sync Epics for Jira on-prem. 

      Please see this support article : https://docs.idalko.com/exalate/x/oAF1Aw 


      If you are already using the external script, and you have an error that says something like this: 

      Cannot sync the Epic name field.

      Then it's probably related to the project settings. Most likely the Epic name is not assigned to the configuration screen that is used in the project.
