Hi all!

We (Mysten Labs, Inc.) just recently started using Exalate for GitHub <-> JIRA issue syncing.  We'd like to be able to set alerts on stalls on the sync pipeline in both directions on each side.  I saw there's an email/SMTP option on the JIRA side, but realistically we'd like to do a health-check-style poll on occasion and grab the data that way.  What's the best practice for doing this?  I've got Brad CC'd - he runs the production engineering side of our operation and likely would be facilitating hooking up alerts the best way possible.
