Middleware between JIRA and SNOW

Does Exalate handle going through a middleware between Jira and SNOW?


Also, can Exalate connect directly to SNOW via Middleware without Exalate app on the SNOW side?  


I understand the app needs to be installed on both SNOW and Jira but we are looking to see if we can just go directly to SNOW API from Jira Exalate app.

      Hi Mohan


      To integrate Jira and SNOW , it requires the Exalate app to be installed on both platforms because of the decentralized architecture.

      The Exalate app on the SNOW side is responsible for translating SNOW-based information to a common issue format (and payload) and vice versa. 


      Directly connecting Jira Exalate to SNOW API without the Exalate app on the SNOW side is not supported. This is because the app ensures secured and governed data exchange and synchronization between the platforms.
